100 happy days 27

I got my hair cut today which is what is making me happy! I think I’m probably the only girl my age who is actually excited about getting my hair cut shorter…I suppose I can’t be the only one who loves the feeling of healthy hair after it’s been cut!
I’ve been using the same hairdressers for a couple of years now and they’ve never disappointed me! The staff are all so lovely and welcoming and I’ve never had a cut to cry about, which is a good sign I’m sure.
I haven’t had anything too major done apart from a couple of inches off but I’ve posted a picture below!

100 happy days 26

Another day of unexciting revision before my exams next week was what joys my day installed!

In my break however I did treat myself to a pre-order of a copy of Coldplay’s new album Ghost stories off amazon. I can’t remember when I put the itunes version of Ghost stories on pre-order but I have a feeling it was pretty much the day it was available… I’m slightly obsessed as you can probably tell! The next step in my obsession is to now get tickets for their London concert at the Royal Albert Hall but I’m not feeling too hopeful as the New York show sold out in 3 seconds… Fingers crossed, someone has to get them!

I must say I am really enjoying the tracks that have been released already from Ghost Stories especially I’m loving the most recently released Sky full of stars. If you haven’t listened to any of the tracks yet I so recommend you give them a listen, the whole album is different to what they’ve done previously but still has the same energy.

I can’t wait till the full album is released on the 19th! Less than 10 days to go now!!

Not much to say today really as it was a really chilled day even though I did have school!
However some film for my polaroid camera which I had orders arrived early which made me happy.
I’ve got an original polaroid which was my mums and you can still but film for. Instead of just getting the white edged film I managed to find a pack that had 8 different colours!
I have to be really careful about what I spend my photos on because it was really expensive for a pack of 8 but worth it for those special occasions!

100 happy days 23

Today’s a big day in my house hold as it’s my dad’s 50th birthday! We didn’t want him to enjoy it too much so we made sure he went to parents evening before we went out for a meal…
We didn’t want to go out anywhere fancy as that just isn’t our thing at all, instead we chose one of our favourite little restaurants called Love food which has just been re-vamped!
The restaurant is run by an Italian family who are so lovely and hospitable and it serves wholesome traditional Mediterranean and Italian cuisine. Only recently has Love Food changed from a cafe-y/lunch type place to a more restaurant type place as well but nevertheless the quality of food was amazing! What is also means is that the atmosphere isn’t as uptight and posh as it would be in other mainstream places.
However…The best thing by far has to be the cakes as they are all homemade and all interesting recipes you would find anywhere on the high street! They even made a birthday cake for my Dad which has to be one of, if not the best cake I’ve tried!
After tonight Love Food is surely on our list of favourite places to go out for a meal

100 happy days 22

My weekend of sailing has proved hard on my lips as well as my face it seems so today I set out to find a solution for my chapped lip nightmare!

I trolled through some blog post and few things on twitter to come to the conclusion my best bet was to buy myself the Burt’s Bees conditioning lip-balm. I was relieved when I tried it that it wasn’t just another gimmick that works for two seconds but as soon as you stop applying it it makes your lips feel even worse *cough* Baby Lips *cough*.

Anyways… my lips are feeling replenished and back to normal so I guess good old Burt’s Bees has done it’s job! Would seriously recommend this to anyone suffering from the dreaded sore lips!

100 happy days 20

Finally what has been a long week has drawn to an end with a much deserved bank holiday weekend! This weekend I’m off to Norfolk with my friend Frankie to go sailing along the broads. I’m thinking a weekend lounging around on boat and sailing will take my mind off my exams in two weeks time!

This week I got myself a new camera with some money I’ve had saved up for a while and it’s one of those waterproof/shockproof type cameras perfect for the trip. I’m not planning on going in the water so to speak this weekend as the weather looks to be more than a bit chilly…

Anyway what this does mean is that I won’t be able to post on here until Monday, however when I do I promise I will have lots of photos for you all!

Have a good weekend, I think we all need a well earned break!

I’m so so so excited today because I finally found some tickets to go see one of my favourite bands – The Cat Empire. They aren’t majorly well know and most of their gigs have been on the other side of the world in Australia and New Zealand so you can understand why its such a big deal!

Their album Steal the light which is their most recent album is so clever but with a really good beat at the same time. Also if your looking for a album to get you in the summer mood they Two shoes is the one for you (one of their older ones but you wouldn’t notice at all)
