I got my hair cut today which is what is making me happy! I think I’m probably the only girl my age who is actually excited about getting my hair cut shorter…I suppose I can’t be the only one who loves the feeling of healthy hair after it’s been cut!
I’ve been using the same hairdressers for a couple of years now and they’ve never disappointed me! The staff are all so lovely and welcoming and I’ve never had a cut to cry about, which is a good sign I’m sure.
I haven’t had anything too major done apart from a couple of inches off but I’ve posted a picture below!
Until tomorrow, Bethany Jane x x
My weekend of sailing has proved hard on my lips as well as my face it seems so today I set out to find a solution for my chapped lip nightmare!
I trolled through some blog post and few things on twitter to come to the conclusion my best bet was to buy myself the Burt’s Bees conditioning lip-balm. I was relieved when I tried it that it wasn’t just another gimmick that works for two seconds but as soon as you stop applying it it makes your lips feel even worse *cough* Baby Lips *cough*.
Anyways… my lips are feeling replenished and back to normal so I guess good old Burt’s Bees has done it’s job! Would seriously recommend this to anyone suffering from the dreaded sore lips!
Thanks for reading, if anyone else has any good brands of lipcare don’t hesitate to comment or drop me a tweet!
Finally what has been a long week has drawn to an end with a much deserved bank holiday weekend! This weekend I’m off to Norfolk with my friend Frankie to go sailing along the broads. I’m thinking a weekend lounging around on boat and sailing will take my mind off my exams in two weeks time!
This week I got myself a new camera with some money I’ve had saved up for a while and it’s one of those waterproof/shockproof type cameras perfect for the trip. I’m not planning on going in the water so to speak this weekend as the weather looks to be more than a bit chilly…
Anyway what this does mean is that I won’t be able to post on here until Monday, however when I do I promise I will have lots of photos for you all!
Have a good weekend, I think we all need a well earned break!
I’m so so so excited today because I finally found some tickets to go see one of my favourite bands – The Cat Empire. They aren’t majorly well know and most of their gigs have been on the other side of the world in Australia and New Zealand so you can understand why its such a big deal!
Their album Steal the light which is their most recent album is so clever but with a really good beat at the same time. Also if your looking for a album to get you in the summer mood they Two shoes is the one for you (one of their older ones but you wouldn’t notice at all)
Here’s some links to a few of my fave songs from those two albums:
It seems like a busy week ahead I’ve at school but not to worry… I had a Urban decay eye shadow arrive today to make things a little more bearable! I’m so happy with it as the colour looks even … Continue reading →
After a tiring but incredible time at Mcbusted last night which consisted mainly of me and the rest of the audience pining over Dougie Poynter and Matt Willis…I must admit I am guilty of not really getting up to much at … Continue reading →
I’ve been waiting for tonight for months and it’s finally coming around! I’m off to the Mcbusted concert with my two best friends this evening at the O2. *excited squeals*
Mcfly and Busted were my childhood without a doubt and I’m pretty sure they were amongst the first albums I ever bought. I’m so unbelievably excited to have the memories of six year old me dancing and singing to crashed the wedding and five colours in her hair relived in concert! Eeek!
I must stop writing before I pop with excitement…
Until tomorrow, Bethany Jane x x
For some reason this only sent today… It must have just been sitting in my drafts!
I was planning on writing my 100 happy days post today on my trip out to see the Divergent film but…
On the way home I received an email from the charity (EFA Morocco) I went out to see in December with school saying their newsletter was available to download!
I had almost completely forgotten due to the stress of school work that back in January I had written an article for the newsletter about the work the girls from my school had done including our visit in December. Some of my photos are also in the newsletter which of course excites me massively!
I can’t stress enough how inspiring the work EFA Morocco does to help to girls living in their boarding houses is and you can read all about it either in the post I did at the back end of December or on their website athttp://www.efamorocco.org . There is also a link to download their newsletter on the website or you can click hereto read about how the charity has been doing over the past few months.
That’s all for today but I must admit I am ready for bed after such an exciting evening!
I am a strong believer in subtle details bringing a perfect finishing touch to any look. One of the many ways I love to do this is with lipstick or lip gloss. I don’t usually go for bold oranges or … Continue reading →
